What’s expected at Timberline Cottage

We are often asked by our guests, as they pack for their Door County trip, what they need to bring with them for their stay. Here is a list of basic items that will be at the Timberline Cottage and items that will NOT. Please realize that some items can be discovered missing or changed. We do our best to keep the Amenities listed as detailed as possible! As always, please do not hesitate to reach out if you have questions or last-minute concerns!

What amenities are at the property?

  • Wi-Fi w/ High Speed Internet
  • Smart TV
  • DVD/Blu Ray Player & DVDs
  • Firewood for indoor fireplace
  • Paper towels, toilet paper, large and small garbage bags
  • Glassware, dinnerware, silverware
  • Pots, pans and basic cooking tools
  • Coffee maker, tea, coffee, filters, syrups, cream and sugar
  • Toaster & blender
  • Pantry for food storage
  • Dish soap and cleaning essentials
  • Shampoo, conditioner and body wash
  • Blow dryer
  • Laundry detergent, dryer sheets and fabric softener
  • Iron, ironing board and steamer
  • Gas grill with backup LP tank in storage shed
  • Clean linens & towels
  • Pillows, mattress pads, and blankets or comforters
  • Luggage stands
  • Stove, fridge and microwave
  • Broom, dustpan and vacuum
  • Replacement light bulbs and flashlights
  • Portable Fans
  • Pack and play
  • 4 bikes and tire pump
  • 4 backpack beach chairs, beach towels and umbrella
  • Kids games, puzzles & coloring
  • Dog dishes
  • If you have a favorite pan or gadget you like to use, we suggest you bring it with you! (and remember to pack it upon departure)

What is NOT included upon checking in?

  • Condiments or any food items
  • Aluminum foil, food storage bags, plastic wrap
  • Lighter fluid
  • Keep in mind that some of these “not included” items may be found at the rental due to the owner or previous guest leaving them at the property. They are NOT replenished items and are not to be expected.

How do I use the coffee pot?

The coffee pot is a Keurig Duo, which means it can quickly brew a single cup or an entire pot. You can find the instruction manual by CLICKING THIS LINK.

Is there Wi-Fi?

There is Wi-Fi w/ High Speed Internet from T-Mobile

Are you pet-friendly?

We allow well-trained dogs to vacation with you! We do ask for $100 per pet for the duration of your stay to cover the additional cleaning fees. We also ask that you clean up after your furry friends and for their safety, keep them on leash while outside. We provide an outdoor tie out cable.

Is there air conditioning?

No. Because we are located near the tip of Northern Door, we have never needed AC and end up opening the windows most nights to let the cool breeze through.

Are there bikes at the cottage?

Yes! There are 4 bikes at the cottage. 2 Adult sized bikes and 2 youth size bikes. (Our kids are ages 13 & 10 for reference of the youth sized bikes)

Is there a Pack N' Play?

Yes! There is a Pack N’ Play at the cottage for you to use.

Do you provide firewood?

Yes. During the fall and winter months, we provide firewood for the indoor fireplace.

Where do I park?

Our driveway can accommodate up to 4 vehicles. There is a small turn around and plenty of space to back in a boat if needed.

When can we check in & check out?

Check in is anytime after 3 pm. Check out is anytime before 10 am. On check out day, we ask that you wash your dirty dishes, and put the dirty sheets in the washer/dryer combo. Ensure all lights are off, and if you used anything from the storage shed that it’s returned and locked.

A few house rules…

  1. Absolutely no smoking allowed inside or outside the property!
  2. We are pet-friendly however we ask that you clean up after your furry friends.
  3. Please be respectful of our neighbors.
  4. Quiet hours are from 10:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m.
  5. You will be responsible for any damage caused by you or your party during your stay.
